SPREAD A LITTLE HOPE THIS CHRISTMAS
Many people moving into a new property from a route of homelessness have nothing more than the clothes they are wearing. You can help us change that.
By donating to Hopestead this Christmas, you’ll be supporting those that have experienced homelessness by providing them with the household essentials they desperately need in order to thrive.
All donations received will go directly towards funding our Hope at Home initiative. Since its launch 11 months ago, we’ve supported 133 new tenants with the household essentials they need to make their house a home. But thousands of others are in need of your help. Referrals to Hope at Home have increased by 134% since 2021, which means your help is crucial to ensure that those in need of support receive it.
Everyone deserves to have Christmas in a place they can call home. Your donations can make this happen by providing household items like beds and bedding, tables and chairs, cookers and fridges, curtains, carpets and other essential items to individuals and families moving into a new home from a route of homelessness. Together, let’s spread a little hope this Christmas.
Please give what you can by donating via JustGiving or purchasing an item on our Amazon Wishlist. 👇

How will my donation support people who have experienced homelessness?
We need to break the cycle of homelessness.
The cost of furniture, furnishings and carpet has increased by 44% since 2010. Your donations will provide a bed for a parent and child to sleep in, a fridge for them to store their food, and a cooker to prepare meals along with other essential items.
To date, 100% of those supported by Hope at Home are still in their homes – with none currently at risk of eviction. Providing support at the earliest opportunity to those moving into a new home from a position of homelessness ensures they have access to the furniture they need to thrive in their new home.
We know that it is only through working together that we can make homelessness a rare, brief, and non-reoccurring event in people’s lives.

Are there other ways I can help?
Over the festive period, Hopestead staff and volunteers will be out in the East of England collecting donations and spreading the message of hope. Keep an eye out for us in your local area, or inquire about volunteering with us. 👇
